Webinar: Neurodivergence in Public Service: Building a Workforce for the Future

When:  Mar 20, 2025 from 13:00 to 14:00 (ET)

As many as 1 in 5 people may be neurodivergent in the workplace, yet only 1 in 10 employers indicate that their recruitment, development and retention programs are designed to support neurodivergent employees. If the government is looking for out-of-the-box thinkers ready to present creative solutions to evolving municipal challenges, then government agencies have to expand DEI and culture initiatives to include neurodivergent employees.

Please join us on March 20, 2025, as our speaker introduces attendees to the diverse spectrum of neurodivergent conditions that likely already exist in their workforce. From giftedness to autism, ADHD to dyslexia, neurodiversity encompasses a wide range of perspectives and abilities that can enhance public service. Neurodivergent employees already exist in your workforce. When employers better understand what neurodiversity looks like in the workforce, they can adapt working conditions to maximize benefits to the employee and employer.

Attendees will explore why employers should actively seek out neurodivergent talent, highlighting the benefits of neurodiversity in fostering innovation, problem-solving, and creativity. Additionally, the presentation will offer practical tools and strategies that employers can implement to support neurodivergent employees in the workplace.
