I'm Karen Resendez, affectionately known as K-Rez among my tribe. I feel like I'm on an exhilarating quest to help shape the destiny of HR! Together, we're primed to overhaul the HR landscape into an epic saga.
In the career realm, I've been a HR Pro for over 20 years (started when I was 10, of course!), all in the public sector. I've journeyed through two large counties in Southern California, the UC system, a city in Los Angeles County, and now find myself at a water agency.
But let's talk about the fun stuff! I've always had a love affair with water (hence why I ended up at a water agency!). Whether swimming year-round since childhood, lifeguarding, or teaching preschoolers how to swim, I believe life is just better at the lake! When I'm not making waves, you can find me soaking up live music, camping, riding motorcycles, and exploring the great outdoors with my boys.
